Since I know you’re all just dying to know what’s going on with my girly-bits, I thought I’d give you a follow up.

My uterus fell out in the Housewares section of WalMart.

On the plus side, I lost 4 pounds.

I don’t miss it. (The uterus or the weight.)

If I could just shed my spleen and maybe a kidney, I think I’d reach my goal weight. How exciting is that?

My family's experiences prepared me for emigration and have colored the way I look at the world. As a Hungarian, I had a few difficult encounters growing up in a small city in Sweden. The words for "Hungary" and “jungle” are similar in Swedish, so my classmates thought I was from the jungle and teased me. It taught me a lot about how people view others who are a bit different.

After high school, I studied two programs simultaneously that included both bachelor's and master’s degrees. I started in engineering, in media technologies, the first time the link wheel program was offered at the Royal Institute of Technology. The program appealed to me because I had always liked being an explorer and walking my own path. For my second master's, I studied business so I could make my ideas about new media a reality.

As part of my business program, I studied economics in Singapore for a semester. Then I took a break and studied Japanese and completed a training program at Fuji Xerox in Japan. I'd heard so many misconceptions about Asia that I wanted to immerse myself in the culture and see what it was really like.
